We are lucky enough to win $50.00 AUD voucher from online raffle to spend in Legacy Camberwell.
We arrived after lunch time at around 1.40 PM, surprisingly the cafe was still busy.
The cafe wasn’t too big but they had really smart concept to cater small/big group of people by having the large communal tables in the front section and smaller tables at the back.
The main interior design was a clean, sleek, rustic feel and brick walls.
Overall, we enjoyed the vibe and ambience with the great music playlists in the background.
We met the friendly barista whose name is Justin, we asked politely whether we could capture the steps when he’s doing the coffee art and he was happy to show us.
The coffee made was really great, he was a very skillful and passionate about the coffee. We were so happy to have a small talk with this friendly barista even though he was busy making the ordered coffee.
- Power bowl (acai) for $16.00 *** recommended
with coconut infused yogurt, mango, kiwi fruit, strawberries, blueberries, banana, chia seeds, granola & hazelnut crumb.
Everything served in power bowl was very fresh, crunchy and it had really great presentation with the great colour combination.
It was perfectly balanced dish comes with coconut infused yogurt and other fruits.
The taste of infused yogurt was absolutely fantastic, it wasn’t too strong and had little bit sweet/sour taste.
The portion was really generous and it was really great value for this high quality dish.
It’s one of the best healthy food we’ve ever tried so far.
We enjoyed every scoop in this dish until the bowl clean 🙂
- Hokey pokey hotcakes for $18.00 *** recommended
with honeycomb, orange, ricotta, vanilla bean mascarpone, pomegranates & strawberries.
This was the second time we ordered the hokey pokey hotcakes and the taste / texture and presentation of the hotcakes was very consistent.
It was always beautifully presented and very appealing.
The hotcakes was served hot and very soft / fluffy inside. It was perfectly baked and the combination of the honeycomb, orange, ricotta, vanilla mascarpone, pomegranates & strawberries added the perfection of this dish.
Definitely, we always had a spare space to have this dish.
- Legacy buttermilk fried chicken for $19.00
charred corn slaw served on a brioche bun with mustard & shiracha mayo.
The fried chicken was fried perfectly and well seasoned. It was served very crispy and crunchy.
Unfortunately, we didn’t find something special about this dish;
The taste was pretty average and it was overprice because for this value we would expect to get a least bowl of chips on the side.
We felt slightly disappointed to have this dish 😦 😦
Finally, we are more than happy to add Legacy in our favourites brunch places and certainly will come back to try other dishes 🙂
