Salty, spicy, sweet, and sour. These are of paramount importance of Thai food.
Continuing our food journey, we were between 8-10 people and we’ve decided to go to @t Ease – Easy Thai as it’s conveniently located in Melbourne CBD
and the restaurant has plenty seats available downstairs and upstairs.
When we came, we were welcomed by the friendly and nice customer staff.
The interior design was modern, bright, clean with a rustic industrial style.
The ambience and vibe was really great, clean, casual and very comfortable.
The customer service was attentive.
We ordered Thai milk tea as the starter while we’re still choosing the food.
The way they served the Thai milk tea was different from other places.
There were 3 different containers given : bottle of milk tea, glass of condensed milk and the jar glass where you combine your drink.
We reckoned it’s a great idea as everyone has different taste of how sweet they like for the milk tea.
We ordered :
– Massaman Beef (Classic massaman curry braised beef cooked in coconut milk with potatoes, carrot and peanuts) for $17.50
The taste of curry sauce was really delicious and rich.
The beef was very tender, soft and well cooked.
Even though the dish was slightly pricey but the quality was good.
Definitely, it was worth to try and recommended.
– Crispy Pork Stir-fry (with Chinese broccoli, garlic, chilli and soy sauce) on rice for $15.00
The Crispy Pork was served hot and fresh.
The texture of the dish was good.
The taste was pretty balance and well seasoned.
However, the Crispy Pork wasn’t crispy enough and it was little bit soggy.
Overall, it was good but it wasn’t the best that we’ve ever had.
– Basil Stir-fry (Chilli, garlic, greenbean, bamboo shoot and basil sauce) on rice for $15.00
The taste of Basil Stir-fry had good taste but nothing special.
Personally, It was slightly too sweet for this dish.
– Chicken Pad Thai (Rice noodles with eeg, red onion, bean shoots, chives and tamarind sauce) for $13.00
The flavour of chicken pad thai was great, balance and well seasoned.
The dish was well presented served with the fresh bean shoots, peanuts and lime on the side.
Unfortunately, for some reasons the chicken pad thai was slightly watery and no spicy at all even though we ordered Spicy Chicken Pad Thai.
We asked for the fresh chopped/cut chilli, they gave us free in generous portion **thank you 🙂
Other Thai restaurants will charge for additional $0.50, this restaurant wasn’t calculative.
Overall, we still enjoyed the dish and the taste was still above the average Pad Thai in town.
Overall, @t Ease – Easy Thai can be considered as the “go to” restaurant if you’re craving for the Thai food around Melbourne CBD.
The place was clean, the service was great and the quality of the food was good.
Yay: great taste, great quality of food, the place was clean, Massaman Beef was recommended
