We’re invited to come to the Beans & Brews event to be amongst the few in Australia to sample Goose Island & Boatrockers collaboration, October Beer. Paired with a selection of Makers seasonal and unique roasted coffee.
There were two collaboration drinks in this event:
- Halia + Carbonated Coffee
Halia was the tart wild ale fermented with fresh peaches in wine barrels, with bright tropical aromas and a dry finish.
Thus, you could smell the peach fragrance in the beer combined with carbonated coffee.
It would be a great experience and most likely you’ll love it if you’re both coffee and beer lover.
Personally, the taste was pretty good and I loved it. - Madame Rose + Ethiopian Cold Drip
Madame Rose is a Belgian style wild ale aged in wine barrels with cherries, alluring aromas of sour cherry, spice and wood.
Personally, I loved the first drink compared to the second one because the taste of coffee was little bit strong and more bitter and slightly sour taste compared to the first one.
For those who love stronger coffee taste and beer, you might opt for this one.
Overall, we had great experiences being a few of Melbournians to try Goose Island & Boatrockers collaboration drink.
Thank you for The Urban List Melbourne for inviting us.Next time, we’ll come back to try their coffee 🙂
