Son in Law, Collingwood

This is our second time coming back to Son in Law and we get a chance to review other foods.
This restaurant is always busy during lunch time and last time we came we didn’t get a chance to order the RAINBOW FAIRY FLOSS MILK.

This time we ordered:
– Steam Barramundi fillet *Wild ginger, mushroom, choy sum, onion, light soy sauce (lunch deal) for $14.00.
The steam barramundi was nicely cooked and we could feel the tenderness.
Unfortunately, we soup was too sweet and we reckoned it didn’t go well with the sweet taste.
Maybe for a sweet lover, you could try this. Personally, it wasn’t our preference.
From our perspective, Thai food is identical with spicy & sour dish and not too sweet.

– Pad see ew *Stir fried flat rice noodles with chicken, soy sauce, egg and gai lan for $15.00.
The pad see ew was served in generous portion and well fried. The style of the dish was very similar to the pad thai that we ordered last time we came.
The taste was really nice and rich, it wasn’t too salty.
It’s decent value for a decent food.

– Crispy soft shell crab & tiger prawns *Traditional Thai green curry, Thai basil, kaffir lime leaves (lunch deal) for $14.00.
This dish was the winner on that day and the best so far compared to other dishes we ordered.    The soft shell crab was well deep fried, crispy and crunchy outside and very tender inside.
The green curry sauce was absolutely fantastic, the taste was balance.
We couldn’t stop scooping the green curry.
This dish was definitely recommended and must try!!!

– RAINBOW FAIRY FLOSS MILK for $12.00.
Very cute and you could request on different model such as, doraemon, cute bear, unicorn and others.
Overall, we had a great time having lunch in this Thai restaurant and definitely be back another time.
