Mary Miller is an adorable and cute cafe situated in the corner of Miller Street, Fitzroy North.
The cafe is located in the residential area rather than in a busy street / business area of Fitzroy North.
Despite of this location, this cafe is always busy and becomes the favorite of the locals; surely it satisfies the Melbournian of their great service and food.
The cafe itself looks very attractive with their light blue color and green plants inside.
The cafe was bright, clean and very cosy with the nice background music played while you’re enjoying your food.
In addition the customer staffs were nice, friendly and very attentive.
Not questionable that this place is an absolute option “go to” place when you wan to hang out with friends.
– Poke Bowl (Spicy tuna, rice, quinoa, pickled beetroot, tofu, seaweed, garlic kale served with sesame dressing) for $17.00
It was nicely presented with combination of attractive color which definitely increases your appetite.
The taste was pretty good and balance.
Unfortunately, the portion was small and slightly dry. Adding more dressing would make this dish better.
– Baked Chorizo Eggs (Spicy tomato sauce, Spanish chorizo, Persian feta, garlic, cherry tomato and rocket salad served with ciabatta bread) for $18.00
This dish is one of the latest dished introduced lately and I was so intrigued to try their new dish.
Ciabatta bread was really delicious, soft and buttery.
The salad was freshly served and seasoned well.
The overall taste was very delicious and balance.
Unfortunately, the portion was slightly small for this value, the amount of spanish chorizo wasn’t generous either and it would be much better if the texture was thicker.
– Strawberry French Toast (Strawberry ice cream, cream cheese, strawberry, blueberry, hazelnut crumble, almond flakes, raspberry coulis, citrus meringue) for $18.00
And today’s winner is …. “Strawberry French Toast”, we loved every single bit of this dish.
Strawberry French Toast was beautifully presented and served generously.
French Toast was perfectly done and the taste was balance and wasn’t too sweet which made this dish even better.
The ice cream was very creamy, rich taste and not too sweet 🙂
It came into perfection when you ate the toasted bread with the fruits on the side and strawberry dipping! Yummmm 🙂
Normally, we are hardly able to finish the dessert / sweet dish after having savoury dish but it doesn’t apply on this one.
Overall, we had a great time having brunch here though the size was smaller compared to other brunch places.
