Si Senorita Bar, Fitzroy – Launch Night (Invited)

We’re delight to be invited in the Si Senorita Bar Launch night on early June 2018.
Si Senorita Bar situated in Fitzroy where you find the top-notch of restaurants, cafes and bars.
Surely this bar stands out from its catchy name, good Mexican food and drinks offered.

The ambience and vibe was great and very relaxing.
The interior design was clean, minimalist; The look and feel was similar to the most typical fancy bars around Fitzroy.
The customer staffs and bartenders were very nice, friendly and knowledgeable.

When we came, we almost missed the “Mixed Bean Nachos” (Crispy corn chips, bean mix, guacamole, sour cream, fresh salsa).
Luckily, we had the opportunity to try little bit of this dish.
The corn chips were served fresh, crispy and crunchy. We loved their home made fresh salsa, the taste was fresh, rich and balance.

We ordered the Sangria and Cider while enjoying the vibe and chilling.
The upcoming dish was “Chicken Wings” (Nacho crusted, fresh salsa, Si Senorita sauce).
The dish was nicely presented.
The chicken wings were perfectly deep fried.
They were served warm, crispy and crunchy from outside; Tender and soft from the inside.
It was well seasoned and came into perfection when you ate with their fresh salsa.

The following yummy dishes came sequentially not long after the yummy “Chicken Wings”, they were:
– Loaded Fries (Thick cut chips, chorizo, beans, sour cream, criolla salsa, chipotle mayo).
The chips were served warm, crispy, crunchy and well seasoned.
Yummmyyy, the chips were up to standard of what we expected.

– Grilled Chicken Tacos (Mixed green leaf, grilled chicken, cactus strip, chipotle mayo).
The chicken was perfectly grilled, well seasoned and very tender.
They’ve added the cactus strip which worked well with overall taste.
The cactus strip taste was similar to pickle.
You could feel smokey taste coming from this tacos!
This was the highlight of the day and definitely recommended to order their Grilled Chicken Tacos.

– Vegan Tacos with Fried Cauliflower
The Cauliflower was nicely deep fried with the rice flour mixed with coconut milk served with the beetroot puree on top of the tacos.
The taste was very balance and the beetroot puree wasn’t too sweet.
We’re surprised to have such a great tacos with this combination.
By adding lime, it’s more fresh, flavorful and zesty.
It’s a perfect option of a vegetarian food, definitely we loved it.

– Pulled Pork Butt Tacos (Red slaw, pulled pork, pineapple salsa and chipotle crema).
The Pulled Pork was very tender, soft and cooked well.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t our liking because it was too sweet coming from pineapple.
It didn’t work well to have too sweet dish on tacos.

Overall, we had a good time in the Si Senorita launch night.

Note: We’d like to say thank you to Si Senorita team to invite us to be part of the launch night.
