L’Burger is a newly opened Burger Shop (early 2018) situated in Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn.
Location, location and location that’s one of the most important factors for running the business, it is perfect close to any sorts of public transport (Glenferrie train station, in front of tram line) and plenty of car park spaces.
We’re so delighted to be invited to this Burger shop L’Burger in Hawthorn.
As soon as I arrived, I was welcomed by the friendly and nice customer staff.
Unlike other burger shops, L’Burger uses all freshly delivered products and never frozen.
The outfit wall art was inspired from the European train station and high ceiling, it is very cosy, bright, clean and spacious.
It’s a perfect place to hang out with friends, family or even having private function.
The customer service was nice, polite and friendly.
For my meal, I ordered:
– Chocolate Kit Kat (Milkshake)
The milkshake had decent presentation and wasn’t sugar overwhelming.
It had rich taste and not too sweet so you won’t put so much effort to finish it off before/after having your meal.
The milkshake was freshly made at the front counter by the artisan where you can see all the actions.
– Hot Angus Burger
(Toasted Pain de Mie milk bun, Chipotle mayonnaise, Oak leaf lettuce, Tomato, House-made Jalapeno salsa,
House-made tomato onion jam, Garlic aioli mayonnaise, Grilled Angus beef patty, topped with melted
Gryuere cheese mix with Sriracha sauce).
A fresh milk bun had soft texture and it was toasted well with little bit crunchiness on the edge of the bun.
The beef patty was perfectly grilled and well seasoned. It was tender, soft texture and juicy.
L’Burger put so much thought in their beef patty, they use the combination of Angus brisket and chuck with little bit of Wagyu beef to
add the rich with buttery and nutty flavours to add a silky smooth texture and unrivalled juiciness.
I reckon the sauce in Hot Angus was was slightly overwhelming, it’s nice but it will be slightly messy when you’re having the burger.
Perfect to have it straight away, however the bun would potentially be soggy for take away.
– Tasting Plate (house fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, L’slaw and two dipping sauces)
The tasting plate was generously served with L’Burger porcini mushroom and aioli garlic sauce.
The fries, sweet potatoes and onion rings were perfectly deep fried and well seasoned.
L’Burger carefully uses and chooses the high quality fries from local.
They were served warm, crispy and crunchy.
It came into perfection when you have it with porcini mushroom (my liking, yeay!!)
However, if you’re a type of person who love strong taste – you must go for the aioli garlic dipping (PERFECT!!)
Overall, I had really great time having L’Burger experience and would definitely come again to try their newly introduced menu “Belgian Waffle”.
Great burger, excellent service and reasonable price – those factors make this burger shop stand out compared to other burger shops surrounding.
Note: We’d like to say thank you to Rodney and L’Burger’s team for the invite.
