Located in slightly less busier street of Chapel Street. Great place to unwind during the weekend and even weekdays to enjoy nice weather and great pizza in outdoor setting and you can even bring your furry friends along. The place gives this funky vibe with neon here and there and always bring hint of Italian vibe here. If you noticed, they put the lighting of Italian flag there. Smart! Come and have a look and you’ll see what I meant.
We came here on a Monday night – quite a crowd for Monday night and definitely people loving to gather here especially on Monday pizza night and Tuesday pasta night when all pizzas and pastas are $15 for specific day only.
We started off with appetisers Arancini sweet potato ball with cheese in the center. Oh those balls fried perfectly with gooey cheese in the center and truffle aioli. The meal come in options size of three or five pieces. Just way to start your meal.
We also didn’t forget to order Cocktail – Bunga Bunga on The Beach – Vodka, Strawberry, peach nectar, blood OJ, Persian fairy floss. SO fresh and light, a tad sweet but it’s okay for my liking. Perfect summer cocktail 🙂
A25 also known for its delicious vegetarian pizza. We came to proof it by trying their Sexy Truffle – Vegan pizza complete vegan mozzarella (I must say, it tastes very similar with the non-vegan one), porcini mushrooms, truffle infused radicchio (the red puplish like cabbage) on top. The pizza smeared with creamy mushroom paste and mozzarella cheese so the texture is a bit gooey on top but less chewy unlike the conventional pizza. The poppling color of the radicchio gives a nice presentation and texture to the pizza. Definitely something a non vegetarian will easily enjoy.
Fettuccine Al Nero – Squid ink fettuccine with chilli prawns, white wine, N’duya pippies, cherry tomato, sauteed zucchini, Zia’s fermented chilli, garlic, EV olive oil and parsley. You can opt for adding calamari as well if you want. One of my favourite food of the night. You can taste a tad taste from the squid ink mixed with the tomato based sauce and combines with other elements are simply the best. Simple and light dish and just go well together with the chilli prawns. Overall not too spicy as well and I would love a tiny bit stronger tomato taste on the sauce and it will be so perfect. It is definitely something I would order on the Tuesday Pasta night.
We also tried their tiramisu and their vegan coconut milk ice cream. Their tiramisu was okay and not too sweet. I would love even layers on the tiramisu and stronger coffee taste but overall it is enjoyable. The coconut vanilla ice cream is creamy yet light at the same time. A nice dessert to cleanse your palate after pizza and pasta.
The service was so quick and the wait staff are absolutely attentive. You get to enjoyed the hip side of Italian restaurant in Chapel St. Great pasta cooked to perfection with fresh ingredients. Pet friendly outdoor area which is a plus point for me where I get to pet dogs while enjoying food. Yeayy!!
Definitely will come back again for more, especially on the Specials nights (Hoho)!
Note: We’d like to say thank you to A25 Pizzeria’s team for having us.
