Ton n Co nestles 5 minutes from Prahran Station. We was so excited to try their Tonkatsu which is their speciality.
A special mention to their Ox Tongue Skewers – 18 hours slow cook – truly melts in your mouth seasoned really well with Togarashi (7 Japanese spices), Tare sauce and sesame oil. Oh did I mentioned the glaze on the outside. Truly star of the night. Chicken Thigh skewers also seasoned similarly but with Sanchi pepper. So moist on the inside, tender and juicy. Truly enjoyable and definitely not to be missed.

Signature Pork Tomahawk (400g+ bone-on): must try dishes here. Their signature tonkatsu their main star of the restaurant as the specialty. Crispy on the outside and juicy perfectly cooked pork inside, just perfect to be enjoyed by itself or with their various selection of sauces.
You can have their Pork strip-loin with Caramelised Onion Gravy, Japanese Curry or Dark Miso Sauce. Personally I like their caramelised onion gravy most.
Me being so Asian, I cant resist having all these dishes with Koshi Rice & Miso Soup.
If you dont too fancy pork, you may opt for their Poached Salmon with Honey Miso glaze, seaweed crust, shiitake mushroom broth. Lighter taste and have a clean taste after eating.
Our ever favorite Japanese dessert – matcha and hojicha and we got to enjoyed them both from their Matcha Cheesecake with Hojicha Ice Cream. Simply must try 🙂
