Little Byrd, Ascot Vale (Invited)

Little Byrd Cafe is a small cafe in Ascot Vale area, although the sign of the cafe was not too obvious but you cant miss the small bird house near the entrance door.
This cafe overall look is giving you rustic feel with colorful cushions with hint of Mediterranean look.

We started off with our usual cappuccino and Chai Latte to warm ourselves while we were going through the menu.
All the dishes offered are so interesting so we took our time to choose and finally the staff recommended us to try their popular Pulled Pork Potato Fritters and so we did. Then we had their Coconut Chia Bowl and French Toast as well.

Oh we were so glad we listened. Their pulled pork potato fritters were so good and yum!
Simply love them. The dish comes with poached eggs, halloumi and potato fritter and hollandaise sauce.
The pulled pork just melts and soft giving you a hint of smokey finish and tad bit sweet note to the overall savory potato halloumi fritters and the hollandaise sauce just tied the knots all the flavors.
Oh this one is simply delicious and definitely we’re going back for this one.
Unlike the typical egg benny or corn fritters, this one is a must try and definitely worth it.

Their coconut chia bowl with granola, chia, coconut cream, passion fruit puree and seasonal fruits.
To be honest, I was not a big fan of chia usually but this one is soo good that I can keep on going eating it.
Love how they made it light and combined with the granola.

And don’t even get me started with the french toast. So fragrant and presented so beautifully and extra – complete with maple syrup, mascarpone and cookie crumbs.
The thick french toast is so moist and fluffy and yummy without being overly sweet.
You can see the golden crust finish on the top of their french toast. So yum!

We truly enjoyed our visit to this cafe and you probably will see us hang out there again for more pulled pork and french toast! 🙂
Excellent and fast service. We are truly enjoy our time in that cafe and when you come and try them yourselves. You will understand why 🙂

Note: We’d like to say thank you to Rabih and Little Byrd’s team for having us.
