This time is our revisited session in Louis, Fitzroy since December 2018 (Louis Review Dec 2018). We’re back cause we’ve just won the recent raffle competition organised by Louis Cafe.
Yeayyyy!!! so happy to win the raffle and be back to one of our favorites brunch spots.
We came on Sunday bringing one friend who just settled down in Melbourne. He told us that he tried couple of brunch spots around Melb CBD but they failed to convince him to come back for the second time.
We have confident to introduce Louis, Fitzroy to our friend because we love their both coffee and food. It might be bias for us as we love this cafe thus, we would take the second opinion from our mate.
As soon as we arrived, we ordered coffee (cappuccino), Machiatto and Chai Latte.
Their coffee is always good, balance taste and consistent as expected.
So happy and enjoyed the coffee. Louis has successfully given a good first impression.
We realised that they’ve changed the menu since we came the first time. There were no Dorayaki Pancake and Korean-fried chicken burger; Instead, they replaced Korean-fried chicken burger with the new Indian style Fried Chicken Burger. We’re so tempting to try the new burger.
*Free range pulled pork with pickled cabbage, poached eggs and shiracha bernaise on croquettes.
The Benny was neat, clean and nicely presented; it was appealing for increase our appetite.
The poached eggs, croquettes and pulled pork were perfectly cooked and well seasoned.
You’ll be amazed to find different flavors going on when you have this dish; the sweet, sour and savory nicely complement each other.
Everything was executed meticulously, we simply love this Benny.
- Fried Chicken Burger
*Indian style fried chicken burger with cheese, tomato, slaw, mayo and potato fries.
Honestly after trying this new burger, We loved Fried Chicken Burger compared to the obsolete burger – Korean-fried Chicken Burger. We’re glad that the kitchen team made an innovative and creative decision to improve previous burger menu by retaining the nice conservative burger presentation and introducing the rich, flavourful Indian style fried chicken burger. The protein was perfectly deep fried and well seasoned; The proportion of cheese, tomato, slaw and mayo were just right.
The outer part was crispy and crunchy, inside was tender, soft and perfectly cooked.
This is the dish that you can have it every day 🙂
Apparently, we’re not bias at all cause our friend surely loved the food, coffee and atmosphere. He would certainly come back again with us, he would even want to recommend and organise any of future private event in this cafe.
