Grand Lafayette offers range of very instagrammable brunch menu with Japanese fusion dishes from around the world and also all-you-can-eat for only $32.80.
Wow. I know. The shop is recently opened in Prahran area and quite hiding in the alley. It has this spacious warehouse feel with so colorful splashes in every corner and touch of greenery here and there which we love.
The venue will easily accommodate big groups.
After reading some of our friends’ review in this place, we were keen to try their Chicken and Waffles ($22.8).
Interesting combination of savory from crispy chicken and the sweet berry coulis and maple syrup.
The meal was generously served and quite fair judging from the price they set. Tender and flavorful fried chicken.
The cheese sauce was underwhelmed though by the sweetness from the coulis and maple syrup. But overall, it was still very enjoyable dish and
truly great fried chicken comparable to KFC. Yum!
We also tried their Salmon & Soba bowl with buckwheat noodles, black sesame paste, slow cooked salmon, soy egg, radish, cocktail sauce ($26.8). If you would like something fresh and light this would be your go to dish.
Served cold with sizeable seared salmon truly easy to enjoy and will leave your tummy full without being too bloated.
But it was a bit too much sauce hence a bit too drenched but the taste is still yummy.
We also thought that this dish is a tad too expensive for the portion but I guess it is because the size of the salmon on this dish.
Matcha French Toast ($19) with caramel popcorn, puffed rice, fruits and matcha sauce. You might wondering where is the matcha sauce, well it was inside the french toast gushing out as you cut though it. Love the intensity of the matcha sauce and the toast but prefer less sauce so that you can still enjoy the toast without being too soggy. Or simply eat quicker. HOHO.
They also have variety of desserts such as their raindrop cakes but I guess we need to try again some other times since we were pretty full already.
They also provides interesting and definitely insta-worthy both grams and stories drinks which presented in IVs and ball shaped ice.
The foods are great and service was okay although we find it really hard to call their wait staff due to the size of the venue and the staff seem away from the floor. Overall, it was a good visit and glad to try their chicken and waffles 🙂
Yay: Chicken and Waffles, Salmon & Soba bowl
