David’s Spicy Pot – Elizabeth Street (Invited)

David’s Spicy Pot is one of the fastest growing Spicy Hot Pot restaurants in Melbourne. They have 3 branches around CBD for now: Latrobe St, Russel St and Elizabeth St. We believe they will even have more branches and cover different part of Melbourne CBD and inner suburbs anytime soon if they could deliver the consistent taste, great customer services and fresh / creative variety of food selections.

Congratulation on David’s 2nd Anniversary! We’re so happy to be part of their VIP between 9-11 September as they would like to give back to their customers by running some very exciting “Roll Dice” competition.

Actually, we’ve never seen any restaurant in Melbourne to have a nice gesture to give back these generous prizes to their customers. TWO THUMBS UP!!!

We went on the first day of this competition September 9th and booked @8 PM. Unfortunately, there was some miscommunication between the organiser and the customer staff.
They’re advised us to come the next day cause it’s full! It’s very unprofessional knowing how good the reputation of David’s hotpot for the past 2 years.

We contacted the organiser via our Instagram  and the organiser advised us to show this message and saying that we’re VIP.
Anyway, we didn’t want to argue with them cause we didn’t want to cause any issue on their BIG DAY – 2nd Anniversary.
We did what we could do by showing on the proof from our message and we decided not to come and take part to their anniversary ***though we’re upset but we genuinely wished that they would prosper and spread the business in Melbourne***

Anyway, they decided to resolve the issue by reserving a table for two on another branch on Elizabeth Street.
We had the same hotpot type cause we simply love it and want to compare with the one on Russell St: Pork Bone Soup and Spicy Pot (No Soup)

David Spicy Pot, Elizabeth St

Despite of the miscommunication and unprofessional customer staffs that stuffed up our VIP booking to celebrate their 2nd anniversary, we’re happy to give our humble and honest opinion about their taste and quality based on our current experience.

There are many selection of different meats, meat balls, noodles, mushrooms and vegetables which are fresh and being refilled, not messy, clean and well maintained by the customer staffs (topped up frequently). In other places, we often experience that the customer staffs just simply ignore the tray whether it’s messy, dirty or not; Here at David’s Spicy Pot is different! Thumbs UP!!!

The taste was very consistent both the Pork Bone soup base and Spicy Pot (No Soup).
The Pork Bone soup wasn’t too strong, flavourful and very rich taste. Love it!
On the other hand, we’d suggest you to order jasmine rice (white rice) to tone down the strong taste of Spicy Pot (No Soup);
Don’t get us wrong, it’s slightly too tasty for our preference; However we believe many people would love and enjoy this strong taste. Still delicious!!! Yummmm

Check out our similar David’s Spicy Pot – Russell St

Note: We’d like to say thank you to David’s Hotpot’s team for having us.
