Mister Margherita located in Park Street just couple minutes after the Domain Interchange Tram Stop. A small yet cozy with its own edge pizzeria that offers full range of pizza from the traditional pizza, calzone and their delicious garlic focaccia all made fresh in house. During our visit, the restaurant was flooded with online orders and also visitors and we certainly know why.
We started with something light, we can’t miss their homemade garlic focaccia. Simple yet so yummy. The dough is just right and chewy and moist too. You can taste the aromatic garlic oil, with mozzarella, slight smokey taste from its provolone and oregano. A perfect sharing starter. While waiting we sip over our cappuccino – a special mention to their cuppa since it was really nice.
When the time comes to choose the pizza, we were so confused since everything looked interesting. We ended up choosing one traditional pizza HALF-HALF and one calzone: Capricciosa ft Salsiccia and Calzone 1.
Capricciosa is a must try definitely is you are mushroom and ham lover combined with Salsiccia if you like a hint of spiciness from Italian Sausage which we really love. Super yummy and the dough is just chewy and moist.
Pro tip: it took some time to make the pizza, especially if they are busy so you can order the appetizer to calm the hunger.
Calzone 1 is also a must try for mushroom and ham lover like us. We keep on choosing mushroom and ham, we supposed. The mozzarella and Fior di Latte just oozed out as we cut the Calzone in half. Definitely must try when you are visiting.
Their risotto is so nice as well and feel homey. Their Chilli Garlic Prawn combined with cherry tomato and fresh basil is simple and light and not too creamy so it made us keep on going and going till the last spoon. Their garlic prawn is also tender and perfectly cooked.
Finally, you cannot leave their place without trying their sweet pizza. Their sweet pizza is pretty well known with the locals. Some said to just visit during the night just for the hot chocolate pizza with crumbed pistachio over some coffee and chat with friends. The star of this dish definitely the quality of the dough and the dark and white chocolates. Simply yummy and we can see why people keep on coming back for the sweet chocolate thin crust pizza.
Definitely a star in terms of customer service, but during busy times the service can be a bit slower due to numerous online orders and also takeaways. But even in the midst of hecticness, their service was top notch. Definitely felt so welcome and spoiled with all the good pizzas and desserts. Definitely a pizzeria worth visit with great selection of pizzas and great takeaway and delivery deals too!
Note: We’d like to say thank you to Sam and Mister Margherita’s team for having us.
