Located conveniently near Melbourne Hospital and Melbourne University, Bobby Dre’s becomes one of the local favorites to hangout. They offer various burgers and also healthy yummy tacos to choose from. The place has plenty of on the road parking spaces just in front of the restaurants. It is also very close to tram stop 57. Pretty convenient if you choose to travel using public transport.
We tried some of their burgers and tacos:
- Harry Haloumi
- Classic
- Chicken Tacos
- Cowboy Chilli Beef Tacos
- Dessert Burger
Harry Halloumi – Grilled haloumi, cheese, beetroot, red onion, mayo, pomegranate molasses. This is definitely a great choice if you are vegetarian. Even for non-vegetarian like ourselves, we found this one really enjoyable. The pomegranate molasses gives you hint of tanginess and freshness to balance the cheesiness of haloumi and cheese. Definitely love the combination of all the texture in a bite from the soft bun, crunchy halloumi, crisp from the fresh lettuce. Simply love it.

Harry Halloumi
Classic – we definitely have to try their basic aren’t we? It contains wagyu beef, double cheese, onion, pickle, lettuce, special Bobby D sauce. This comes in GF options too. Love this classic burger especially with that juicy beef wagyu patty. The size of this burger is just right for us since we are not a huge big burger fan. For more filling type you can also opt for extra patty for $4 extra.

Classic
All of their tacos are homemade and made fresh daily. Their tacos are simply delicious and made with high quality ingredients. We sampled their Chicken Tacos and Cowboy Chilli Beef Tacos with a small guac on the side. Their Chicken Tacos simply tender and yummy paired with Pico de Gallo while the Cowboy Chilli Beef ones using the minced beef with a hint of spiciness. We loved them both equally since they both are equally delicious.
For the dessert, they offer a super mini sweet burger with same bun like the original burger and filled with strawberry ice cream and topped with sweet Maple Syrup. To make it more fun, it was sprinkled with the popping candy, gummy candy and some sour stripes. A fun sweet burger for a sweeth tooth lover. We found it a bit too sweet and overly decorated. But definitely a fun dessert especially for the kids.
Overall, the service was on point and fast. The burgers are definitely the reasons why locals keep on coming back to this joint. High quality ingredients used and truly appreciate a yummy and healthy vegan options. Definitely will come back for more.
Note: We’d like to say thank you to Bobby Dre’s team for having us.
