Isme Melbourne is located on the corner of Kerr and Napier street with spacious indoor and outdoor seating. Beautifully decorated and you can definitely feel the lux feel from this Lebanese restaurant. Definitely a great spot for your first date or celebration to casual gathering with your friends and family.
We started off with fresh and zingy mocktails and Kiss Meh Cocktail. If you love the sour and sweet fresh kind of style these ones are for you. For two people, it was suggested to order 5 mezzas, 1 bigger and 1 dessert.
Here’s our dinner list:
Trio Dips Hummus with smoky baba ganoush, tangy labne and nutty hummus with assorted bread. Definitely a must ordered dish in a Lebanese restaurant. The smoky ganoush is definitely our favorite.
Mini chicken skewers with garlic, zaatar, lemon & chilli marinated tenderloins, served with garlic dip is a bomb. Very juicy and so fragrant as it was served. The garlic dip got pretty strong but definitely went well together with the skewers.
Zaatar and feta arancini – tad bit salty but flavoursome with a hint of olive taste and stringy cheese. The outer was perfectly fried as well 🙂
Sumbuski – Love these sumbuski a lot! Packed with minced meat, onion and pine nuts and the taste is amazing! We need to share the last bit since it comes in three pieces only.
Zaatar chips with chili oil
Spicy prawn fatteh labneh garlic, parsley, sumac, roasted nuts & crunchy pita. The spiciness level is alright and not over the top and went well with tanginess of the labneh. This one is definitely so fragrant and tastes amazing!
K-isme – crispy fio layers, rose water & orange blossom infused with ricotta, roasted nuts and cinnamon sugar syrup. The sugar syrup is a bit too sweet for our liking but in overall definitely an interesting dish and a beautiful one.
Truly amazing experience to dine in ISME and definitely a good place to dine in or even just casually chilling in the bar. Service was spot on and prompt. Thank you ISME for the kind hospitality and for inviting us.
Note: We’d like to say thank you to Isme’s team for having us.
